What is wordpress today? It keeps zipping out on me before I’m ready and now my comment is gone! Argh!
So, at risk of repeating myself if my comment should suddenly, inexplicably reappear –
I’m doing Nano this year, too. Want a buddy? I’m writing under “letters to rosa”. Have you done it before? What a rush. What a blast. What a mind-numbing, wonderful experience! I encourage every author to give it a go, at least once.
I second all your lovely commentators above – go for it. You can do it. Turn off the editor, quell that inner voice that wants to pick everything apart and have fun.
You can do it!

I will look you up! It’s great to have a buddy. I don’t use the forums – who has the time! Just remember, when your characters are having a fight and are about to stick their tongues out at each other… SMILE AND LET THEM.
And all that stuff you may or may not have heard about good writing? That doesn’t exist from Nov. 1st to Nov. 30th. Use all the adverbs you want. Let your characters sigh and wink and flirt. “Tell” all you want. You can “show” later!

That’s fantastic news! I wish you all the best of luck.
Because the daily word target is so high, I recommend you don’t self-edit as you go along. Don’t worry about spellings, grammar or even if you change you’re plot half way through. You can always correct these during the edit. Just get the story out. I have every confidence you can do it 🙂

The worst thing I can do is fail. The only way to do that is not to try. My goodness I have a week and a half to come up with something. Me thinks things may be a little quiet around here for a few weeks…
