#1LinerWednesday.

Here is where you press to ping over to Linda Hills read and connect or have a go yourself.

Remembering that the person rushing who spilt your drink, cut you up at the roundabout, banged your ankles with the trolley in the shop, may be newley bereaved, lost his job, or became a parent, we can’t know so think before you loose your temper.

  1. It’s true Ellen, and good advice. Not long ago, I got up from my desk at work. Aside from the usual backache, the tendons in my feet had tightened painfully. No worries — I do fine after a dozen or so steps when things loosen up. However a woman came up behind me and said “Somebody’s walking like they don’t want to be here.” She really didn’t mean any harm. So I tried not to make her feel bad when I told her the problem. No matter how you look at it, it was a good reminder to me — When you meet someone on the sidewalk and they seem to be frowning hatefully, they might just be in pain. Try to smile anyway. It might be the only smile they see that day. It sounds hokey and Pollyanna, but it’s true. 🙂 Huge hugs.

    1. I think we don’t stop to think enough, that person doesn’t want to be a cross patch or known as rude, something else must be going on therefore try not to make their day worse. Be the best you can be, I’m not Polyanna either but I try to think. 😉

  2. A great attitude and one I hope I aspire to but I have to admit that after having my drink spilt, being cut at a roundabout, banged my ankle with the supermarket shopping trolley I’d be expecting that the next thing to happen it’d be the other person that would have to be thinking, “perhaps they’ve had ………. 🙂

  3. I always try to remember this, especially whenever I get ticked off with someone over something that’s probably not even that big a deal, in the grand scheme of things.
