I pressed Facebook,  I heard a ping,
I came across an extraordinary thing.
It wasn’t a cat or pointless meme
It was the love of humanity.

To celebrate March the 8th’s international women’s day, I have resurected a post that surely celebrates a woman who stands head and shoulders above most.

Please do not pass by without thought

Or smile and say nought.

Take four minutes of your time,

To meet a true hero of mine.

Then let me know if your time was well spent, I hope you do not walk on by, leave my a comment let me know if you think she deserves a spot on international womens day. Thank you for your time.

  1. Thanks for posting this Ellen. My family is Polish, but I was told that we had a few Jewish family members. Almost all my family came to America around 1900, but I have alway have felt a special resonance with the Holocaust. This was so powerful and moving. Thanks for sharing it. Jo

  2. I had goose bumps watching this. I can’t even imagine how she felt when the grown child handed her the chocolate. Boy! We humans have really been horribly wicked to ourselves. A great watch indeed.
Let me use the opportunity to invite you to the Bloggers brunch that I am hosting over the weekend Saturday – Sunday. I believe it will be fun to mingle with others. The invitation is titled, It’s Brunch Party Time. I will send one out again tomorrow. My regards.

    1. Thank you, her story is one of many, her talk was with unacusatory or nonconfrontational tone. Francine is a dignified lady who’s story needs remembering and telling. Lest we ever forget.

  3. I can feel her loss and pain. As a result of being put in a German POW camp, my Grandfather suffered health issues, mental and psychological, until an early death. I was torn as a child when I decided to keep both citizenships and served later in the military of my birth country. Evil isn’t restricted to one nation, one people, one color or one religion. Evil is inherent everywhere where weak people don’t resist its lies and promises…………………… Political correctness and tolerance have been hijacked. thankfully I know how to defend my rights just in case someone forgets that I’m am neither weak or ignorant, just mute………………………………. Thanks for posting/reposting.
